It was supposed to be a routine Alaska Airlines flight—Portland to Seattle, clear skies, on-time departure. But just after takeoff on the morning of July 4th, passengers and crew aboard Flight 105 witnessed something unexpected… and unidentified. ✈️🛸

At 8:17 a.m., according to reports first published in The Aviation Herald, the cockpit crew spotted a “metallic, disc-shaped object” hovering several thousand feet above their flight path, remaining motionless before darting off at impossible speed—straight into the upper stratosphere.

Passengers in left-side window seats saw a bright flash and a brief, reflective silhouette, which one described as “a chrome coin floating midair, then vanishing like it folded space.” 💿✨

The FAA acknowledged an unusual radar anomaly, but claimed it posed no safety risk. Meanwhile, UFO forums quickly dubbed it Flight 105 Echo, drawing eerie parallels to the 1947 Kenneth Arnold sighting that kicked off the entire flying saucer craze—just east of here, near Mount Rainier.
